Wrapping the week and what's next

Well, I made a big deal out of East Brunswick's fantastic 3519 on Thursday, so I probably have to mention that they did EVEN BETTER on Friday. Matt Mai (728) and Sam Bortnick (721) went big, and Daniel Lenk broke the scoreboard with a 268-258-300=826, giving the Bears an incredible 3542 set.  Monroe also shot a lights-out 3396 behind 700s from Lou Folgore, Ryley McKiernan and Devin Maddox (750).

Also, because the HCIAL doesn't get a lot of press (truly, Shore & GMC suck most of the air out of the room), I thought I'd mention a high-level true 5-man match between their two best teams: St. Peter's Prep defeated Hudson Catholic 5-2 by shooting a pair of games over 1100. Final tally was 3133 to 3032.  There's a lot of talent in Hudson county.

Anyway, we've got an  honor scores list from Friday's action (and a few that didn't get reported, or that I missed).  Hoping to get boys rankings out tomorrow so I can get started on sectional previews.  Unfortunately, NJSIAA hasn't put out North 1-B or North 2 entries yet, so we'll see what happens next week.
